Buying a New Car for my College Graduate

One of the things that I have wanted to do was buy my child a car when they finished college.  My reasoning for this is that it is a big step in their lives, and a car is a good way to say “thank you” for all of the hard work that they did while in school.  My father bought me a used car, and I wanted to continue that tradition by buying a new car for my son.

I knew what William wanted, but it wasn’t necessarily what I wanted to buy (at least not in the price range that I was thinking).  But I wanted to get something that he would like so I decided to take him out on a Saturday to tour the many dealers that sold new cars in Weatherford.  There were quite a few, but I thought we should take a look at all of them to see if we could find one that interested him.

Maybe it was just a bad day, but there were no cars that piqued his interest.  As disappointing as that was, we had a lot of time to bond, so that was worthwhile.  It made me happy that he just didn’t want to settle, and we made an appointment for this weekend to check out the Fort Worth auto dealers to hopefully find something for him.
